Hello Everyone! Welcome to my portfolio and classroom management page. Or as I prefer to call it, my classroom community organizer. Thank you for finding your way into my educational community. I’m so excited to teach high school English Language Arts to a diverse community of students from all different backgrounds and walks of life. There is nothing I value more than providing a quality education for every student, no matter who they are or where they come from.
I have had a very non-traditional route in my educational development, and I believe my unique perspective will be an unbelievable asset to the students in my classroom. My secondary education began in Appleton, Wisconsin at Fox Valley Technical College where I earned an associate degree in Technical Communications. After a few years in the workforce, I continued my education at the University of Colorado – Denver where I earned my bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis in creative writing while graduating Magna Cum Laude. Currently I am enrolled in the Alternative Route to Certification Program at Seattle Pacific University where I will graduate in June 2024 and begin my career as an educator.
Outside of education I have had various jobs in a number of different fields including construction, landscaping, and call center work but have been in the retail sector at Old Navy for nearly 10 years now. Beyond that, I have co-authored a trilogy of books with my sister, the first of which is available for sale on multiple platforms including Amazon. In the spring of 2020, I started my own company, Brick & Mortar Entertainment LLC, to publish written works, display contemporary pieces of art, and film stop-motion animation movies.
My ultimate goal as an educator is to take the vast wealth of knowledge and experiences I have gained through a unique educational trajectory and use that information and enthusiasm to help your child learn, succeed, and ultimately master learning objectives that guide them on their way to adulthood. There is nothing more important to me than helping your children fulfill their utmost potential to become happy, productive, and ultimately successful members of society.
With sincere gratitude,
Nicholas Prochnow
